INTRODUCTION: Besides having a relentless love for music, playing live performances, playing every musical instrument I could pick up, songwriting, arranging, recording, producing, & publishing, I have an insatiable thirst for knowledge of any kind. In my early twenties, I heard the story of a poor black enslaved man who was forced to work on a peanut farm. Being naturally curious, he said that he began asking God to show him the universe, only to get the answer, "No". He asked to be shown about the Earth, & got the same answer. After struggling with God for months & asking for smaller & smaller things to learn, he tells us that he then defiantly held up a peanut skyward & sarcastically asked, "Then will You let me understand a peanut?!" Dr. George Washington Carver revealed to us that God spoke to him at that moment & said, "Yes". Out of that inspiring story, two things occurred: Dr. Carver learned about the universe & everything else he asked for, including peanuts. Secondly, he inspired me to begin a search for knowledge that became insatiable. I attended UTHSCSA & graduated with a degree in Medicine & specialized in Family Medicine. I held a degree in Theology as well, but being an Audodidactic Polymath (like my father), I also studied Philosophy, Psychiatry, Psycholgy, Literary Writing, & Computer Programming. Rather than going to school to learn programming I taught myself, just as I taught myself many of the other subjects I've been interested in. And, on top of rolling out the Electronic Medical Record System for the 3rd largest medical group in the state, I wrote & programmed my own Electronic Medical Record with the goal of writing it to be more efficient than the hospital's. I studied Etymology, Majored in Biology, Minored in Chemistry, & I also held a degree in Nursing. Needless to say (but I will nevertheless), I'm NOT impressed with narcissists!
